It was a year of hope and faith for a labor contract with the bank in Rotterdam. Sheer disappointment and profound bitterness were in place after that hope did not materialize. As well, the global financial crisis that set in the year after further crushed 小伙子's hope to pursue his career in banking.
Therefore, the enjoyable week to Florida was soon forgotten after so many misfortunes hit 小伙子's life.
Also, the holiday in Malta that followed in that year's October, which in its own way was a unique experience, further erased the memories of the Miami holiday. Perhaps, that part of US&A doesn't really appeal 小伙子 at all.
Luckily, this souvenir photo helps remind 小伙子 and his beloved wife a joyful holiday in sunshiny Florida.
